How crises are affecting middle-schoolers

Some experts say the pandemic along with other crises and events of the past two years have created particular challenges for middle-schoolers, who are in a critical phase of mental and physical development. Some say middle-schoolers may not be as carefree as previous years’ students but predict such students will become more committed to social justice, while Mitchell Prinstein of the American Psychological Association says they are likely to be more resilient.
